Welcome to Auchterless Primary School
Auchterless serves an area of rural Aberdeenshire well known for its farming background and is situated in the southern part of the Turriff Community School Network. The school is non-denominational and the catchment area is the village of Auchterless and the surrounding rural area. The catchment area stretches from Turriff in the north to Rothienorman in the south and from Fyvie in the east to Fortrie in the west. The school’s current roll is 32. Auchterless School provides education for children aged 5 to 12, i.e. from P1 to P7. On leaving Auchterless Primary School the pupils transfer to Turriff Academy. Auchterless School is part of the Turriff Community Schools’ Network and works closely with the other 8 schools in the Network. Community links are a valued part of school life. The school is used for a range of activities, including after school clubs, i.e. netball, football. The Community Club meet weekly during term time for Bowling and Badminton sessions and The Auchterless, Inverkeithney and Fisherford Community Council meet in the school, which all residents are welcomed to attend. The school is also used by other community groups for meetings and various fund raising activities for the benefit of the school and other local organisations.
